Thailand Fast Selling Household Brand Vixol Launches Recycled HDPE Bottles

Thai Fast Selling Product Enterprise I P. One recently collaborated with ENVICCO and Apra Packaging to launch a brand new packaged Vixol product, which converts discarded colored plastic waste into recyclable bottles. Through the pilot project of "VIXOL POWER Black Bottle", create a closed loop for plastic packaging.   The "Vixol" product is I P. One's flagship brand. The company has previously reduced the size of plastic bottle caps, resulting in an annual reduction of over 10 tons of plastic usage. This time, the company has collaborated with Apura and ENVICCO to apply innovative technology in the reuse of HDPE bottles. This project creates a closed-loop system for the production of 20 million Vixol bottles, which involves sorting and recycling household packaging waste, producing and consuming recycled HDPE, and finally manufacturing new bottles.   According to online search results, Vixol Power products include toilet cleaner products. However, the PTTGC press release did not disclose the proportion of HDPE recycled content in this packaging. ENVICCO is a joint venture between PTTGC and Apra for the production of recycled plastics.   One of the considerations for manufacturers in the process of recycling raw materials is how to maximize the savings of raw materials. By adding and mixing different particle materials, not only can the quality of the product be improved, but also raw materials can be saved through precise batching, thereby saving production costs. http://mao.ecer.com/test/gravimetricsystem.com/sale-42392495-dosing-and-mixing-6-components-gravimetric-mixer-ce-standard.html   (Content and picture are referenced from the China Plast Online Website)_

Will The Cold Winter In The Textile Industry Continue In The First Half of Next Year? Türkiye, One Of The World's Largest Textile Exporters, Saw Its Exports Drop Sharply

Türkiye is one of the largest textile exporters in the world. However, since this year, the export volume of the textile industry has declined significantly, and the capacity utilization rate has dropped by at least 30%. Some small-scale yarn producers have even completely stopped production. Why does Türkiye's textile industry usher in the "cold winter"? What impact will the textile industry depression have on Türkiye's economy? Chen Huihui, a reporter of China Central Radio and Television Corporation in Türkiye, recently visited Istanbul Textile Industrial Zone to see her visit.   Channel reporter Chen Huihui: 70% of Türkiye's ready-made clothes and clothing products are mainly sold to the EU and the UK. Many of the famous European brands' raw material supply and processing services are from Türkiye. However, data shows that in the first six months of this year, Türkiye's textile and raw material exports to the EU fell by 22.5% compared with the same period last year.   Sharaf Fayat, President of the Garment and Garment Industry Conference of Türkiye Chamber of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges Union: The first problem is the reduction of demand in the main market - the EU. Due to the economic recession of the European Union and the United States, the total world trade in ready to wear and textiles has decreased by about 15%.   In addition, the rising cost has also reduced the international competitiveness of Türkiye's textile industry. In recent years, Türkiye has experienced high inflation, high energy prices and rising labor costs. At present, when European consumers buy a T-shirt made in Türkiye, its price is about 40% higher than that produced in Bangladesh, Vietnam and other countries. A few years ago, the gap was only between 15% and 20%.   Head office reporter Chen Huihui: The data shows that the capacity utilization rate of Türkiye's entire textile industry has dropped by at least 30% and that of some yarn manufacturers has even dropped by 50% due to multiple factors such as shrinking demand in the EU and other major markets.   The production workshop is empty, with five or six workers completing a few orders. This manufacturer of lining fabrics for jeans has deeply felt the chill of the industry since the beginning of this year.   Istanbul textile manufacturer Mohammad Arslan: From last year to this year, due to a sharp decrease in orders, our production has decreased by 30% to 40%. Some companies are slowly closing down, while others that have reduced production are considering layoffs.   In 2022, Türkiye's textile exports will reach 10.4 billion US dollars, about 75 billion yuan. The export value of ready to wear clothing reached 21.2 billion US dollars, approximately 150 billion yuan, ranking fifth and sixth in the world, respectively. Industry insiders pointed out that as one of Türkiye's pillar industries, the rise and fall of the textile industry will have an impact on the overall economy.   Hayati Akbaba, President of Türkiye Ankara Garment and Textile Industrialists Association: The textile industry has always been the locomotive of Türkiye's economy. We must try our best to improve the current predicament, or it will seriously damage Türkiye's economy and employment. The data shows that the current economic loss has reached about 10%.   Akbar believes that the cold winter in the textile industry will continue in the first half of next year according to the current situation, but if the government can take effective measures to encourage exports, curb inflation, and boost the economy, it is expected that Türkiye's textile industry is expected to recover as soon as the second half of next year.   Reducing the cost becomes more and more important for manufacturers,by improving the dosing accuracy could help manufacturers save raw materials up to 99.9%. WalthMac is committed into providing the high technical equipment to help manufacturers improve the automation and save cost.  http://mao.ecer.com/test/gravimetricsystem.com/sale-42307984-compounding-mixer-gravimetric-blender-dosing-and-blending-granular-raw-materials.html   (Content and picture come from the China Plast Online Website)
Latest company new about EU Releases A Calculation Method for The Proportion of Recycled Plastics in Beverage Bottles

EU Releases A Calculation Method for The Proportion of Recycled Plastics in Beverage Bottles

The plastic directive (EU) 2019/904 issued by the European Union in 2019 sets a minimum recycled plastic content for plastic beverage bottles, including PET bottles. On November 30th, the European Commission issued an executive decision explaining the methodology for calculating and certifying the regeneration content of PET bottles and beverage bottles annually.   In order to calculate and certify the recycling content target of a plastic beverage bottle, labels and labels should be included as part of the beverage bottle. Firstly, typically when a beverage bottle is sold to consumers, it includes the bottle body, cap, and label or set label. Tags and labels are used to convey information and contribute to brand promotion. Labeling typically provides a 360 degree coverage function, while other labels typically only cover a small portion of the bottle body. Secondly, labels and labels are often attached to the bottle body at the same stage as the bottle cap during the production process, so their weight should be included in the weight of the beverage bottle, and the recycled plastic content of the labels and labels should also be included in the weight of the recycled plastic in the beverage bottle.   The recent regulation released by the European Commission clearly provides a calculation method for recycled plastic in beverage bottles. A single sentence in a plastic directive can lead to such a complex interpretation and implementation method. It also illustrates from another perspective that the policy and regulations of circular economy and regulatory system cannot be simply defined, and there is no follow-up implementation, methodology, and reporting mechanism, because it is difficult for the industry to understand and accurately implement.   Plastic beverage bottles within the territory of member countries must contain 30% recycled plastic. The newly issued implementation resolution clarifies the following aspects:   1.Recycled plastics should only include plastic waste materials that were consumed before entering the recycling system, as the recycling of plastic waste before consumption already has sufficient market power. In addition, the purpose of (EU) 2019/904 is to reduce the environmental impact of certain plastic products, and plastic waste is usually not leaked into the environment before consumption.   2."Beverage bottle" refers to a plastic beverage bottle with a capacity of up to 3 liters, including its cap, label, and label, but excluding glass bottles with plastic caps, as well as liquid beverage bottles designated for special medical purposes in Article 2 (2) of (EU) No 609/2013.   3.The 2025 goal targets PET beverage bottles, while the 2030 goal targets plastic beverage bottles.   4.The calculation of recycled plastic content is: the proportion of recycled plastic content=(recycled plastic content/weight of plastic bottles placed in the market) * 100%; Among them, the recycled plastic content=plastic bottle recycling content+bottle cap recycling content+label or label recycling content; The calculation logic for the weight of plastic placed in the market is similar, and the three are added together.   5. Recycled plastic content=Recycled plastics produced by member countries themselves+Recycled plastics imported from other member countries+Recycled plastics imported - Recycled plastics exported - Recycled plastics sent to other member countries. The calculation logic for the weight of plastic bottles placed in the market is also similar.   6. The calculation and certification of recycled plastic content in beverage bottles will be based on data obtained in accordance with (EU) 2022/1616, which will establish a reporting chain throughout the production process. Member states are responsible for collecting data from economic operators who place beverage bottles on the market and checking the reliability of the data.   On March 31, 2024, the European Commission was responsible for proposing a revised version of this executive decision to establish a methodology for calculating, certifying, and reporting the content of recycled plastic in beverage bottles obtained through other types of recycling, such as chemical recycling.   For improving the product quality while saving raw materials,WalthMac provides the Gravimetric Batch Blender bring much more benefits of saving plastic materials.Welcome to contact and ask any inquiry.http://mao.ecer.com/test/gravimetricsystem.com/sale-40979381-four-raw-material-gravimetric-blender-ce-standard-mold-injection-feeding.html   (Context and picture are conferenced from the ChinaPlast Online Website)

The Latest Test Results Indicate That Multilayer Films Containing PA6 Can Be Recycled

After conducting research on the recyclability of co extruded polyethylene/polyamide (PE/PA) multilayer films in 2021, the independent research institute cyclone HTP GmbH has conducted further extensive research on the recyclability of multilayer films containing polyamide 6 (PA6) and ethylene glycol copolymer (EVOH). The research commissioned by BASF focuses on co extruded PE/PA6/EVOH high barrier films and laminated PA6/PE films in household packaging waste. It has now been proven that these two types of membranes are also suitable for recycling in polyethylene film streams.   Dr. Matthias Zorn, Senior Manager of Market Development for Polyamide Extrusion Applications at BASF, stated, "The results indicate that PE film waste streams containing PA can be processed without significant adjustments to the recycling process. This certification confirms that film manufacturers have now achieved the recycling of PA film waste streams.".   Compatibilizers play an important role as they are additionally incorporated into the laminated structure, enabling the distribution of PA components in the PE matrix. In co extrusion structures, the existing adhesive layer used to bond PA and PE in the film becomes an effective compatibilizer during the recycling process. Matthias Zorn said, "If additional PE-g-MAH is added as a compatibilizer in the primary film production process, polyamide is even considered a valuable material in the recycled polyethylene of cyclos HTP."   This study, conducted in collaboration with leading high-performance film manufacturer S Ü DPACK, on adhesive laminated PE/PA films clearly demonstrates that these previously considered non recyclable films can also become recyclable. In this project, Han Gao's laminated adhesive was used. According to new research, various PA containing packaging can now be proven to be recyclable.   Due to its unique performance, polyamide reduces the amount of materials used in packaging applications, thereby helping to reduce packaging waste. They also improve the mechanical, thermal, and processing properties of the packaging. Although PE/PA/EVOH films are used in many cheese and sausage packaging that require high oxygen barrier, laminated structures mainly appear in printed film packaging in this field.   Last year, Germany recognized the recyclability of co extruded PE/PA films based on VerpackG Article 21 (3), which determines the minimum standard for packaging recyclability affected by system involvement. This certification is another important basis for factual classification of polyamides in packaging. The CEN standardization team is developing guidelines for "recycling design" at the European level, and the central agency Packaging Registry sets minimum standards for evaluating recyclability in Germany every year. 100% Bio Based! Multi Layer PET/PEF Bottles Can Enter The PET Bottle Recycling Flow

Avantium N.V., a leading technology company in the field of renewable chemistry, announced that the European PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle platform (EPBP) has granted Avantium temporary approval to recycle multi-layer PET/PEF (polyethylene terephthalate) packaging in the European bottle recycling market for a period of three years.   PEF is a 100% bio based, recyclable polymer with extensive applications in single-layer and multi-layer bottles, food and beverage packaging, and textiles. PEF has excellent barrier properties for oxygen and carbon dioxide, making it suitable as a barrier material for multi-layer PET bottles and further improving their recyclability.   The third-party evaluation results show that at a market penetration rate of 5%, PET/PEF multilayer bottles containing 10% PEF have no negative impact on the haze and other performance of the produced rPET products. Therefore, EPBP granted temporary approval for Avantium's PEF resin under the following conditions: The maximum allowed market penetration rate is 5% PEF content in a single bottle does not exceed 10% Resilux, an international hard plastic packaging supplier, signed a conditional purchase agreement for PEF with Avantium in 2021. Dirk De Cuyper, its CEO, stated, "The recognition of EPBP is an important milestone for PEF entering the market, demonstrating the potential of incorporating PEF performance into PET product design."   Avantium is expected to complete the construction of the world's first commercial FDCA (2,5-furandicarboxylic acid) factory by the end of 2023, and achieve the commercial launch of PEF by 2024. The temporary approval of EPBP will continue until June 30, 2025, during which Avantium can obtain large-scale data from the recycling market. EPBP will decide whether the temporary approval can be converted to formal approval based on the data.   For saving raw materials and improving the quality of products,WalthMac porvides the Gravimetric Batch Blending System for manufacturers.http://mao.ecer.com/test/gravimetricsystem.com/sale-37294382-weigh-scale-gravimetric-dosing-mixing-system-for-injection-molding.html   (Content and picture are referenced from the China-Plast Online Website)

Turning Waste Into Treasure: CO2 Can Also Be Made Into Recyclable Plastics!

According to reports, chemists at the University of Li è ge in Belgium have developed a new polyurethane production technology that can use carbon dioxide to produce new types of plastic that are easy to recycle. This plastic is produced using more sustainable materials and has similar properties to traditional petroleum based plastics.   It is said that this new technology is becoming a potential solution for developing sustainable plastics with a wide range of performance, which can easily meet the needs of most of our daily applications. The latest research results have been recently published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.   Commercial plastics have transformed global industry. Whether in buildings, clothing, vehicles, or food packaging, these plastics are ubiquitous in our daily lives. Moreover, they are difficult to recycle. This not only leads to the depletion of fossil resources used to manufacture them, but also leads to their long-term accumulation in nature and the ocean.   Therefore, our society urgently needs to quickly design and manufacture "easily recyclable" plastics. Against this backdrop, researchers have developed a new technology for producing easily recyclable polyurethane plastics.   It is understood that the characteristic of this method is the use of carbon dioxide (CO2), another source of pollution in our society, as the raw material for producing the monomers required for these new products. The structure of monomers can be easily modified, allowing for the production of plastics with various properties, from highly ductile elastomers (such as silicone) to more rigid materials (such as polystyrene).   The researchers explained that the chemical structure of these plastics is similar to a three-dimensional network, rather than a long linear chain. This structure is usually similar to thermosetting plastics that are difficult to recycle, making them more corrosion-resistant than plastics made from long molecular chains.   However, the newly created polyurethane has new "dynamic" chemical bonds, which means that although they have thermosetting structures, they can be reshaped through chemical bond exchange under relatively mild reaction conditions.   Researchers say the biggest advantage of this new technology is its ability to change the performance range while providing multiple methods for recycling materials.   These new plastics can be recycled in various ways, either by heating and reshaping them, or by mixing different types of plastics to create hybrid materials with new properties, or by decomposing them into their constituent monomers, which is an ideal choice for eliminating additives such as dyes or recycling composite materials, "they added.   Finally, with a focus on the industrialization of future CO2 appreciation, this study indicates that CO2 can be directly utilized as a chemical resource.   They said, 'Our materials have achieved similar performance to some traditional petroleum source plastics, which is very impressive.' This new technology is becoming a potential solution for developing sustainable plastics with a wide range of performance, which can easily meet the needs of most of our daily applications.   (The content and picture are referenced from the China-Plast Online Website)

Malaysia: Switching to Biodegradable Plastic Products, Completely Prohibiting Plastic Bags by 2025

On October 5th, Malaysia's Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Nenazmi, stated at the International Green Technology and Ecological Products Conference and Exhibition (IGEM) that the government is working to phase out non biodegradable disposable plastics by promoting alternatives and sustainable materials in plastic production, in accordance with the "2021-2030 Malaysia Plastic Sustainable Development Roadmap".   He pointed out that the department is also seeking ways to encourage private entrepreneurs; For example, stall and small stall operators who play an important role in the community can replace disposable plastic bags by replacing them with biodegradable plastic bags.   We need to ensure that the plastic used is truly biodegradable. Currently, most plastics still need to be brought to factories and undergo biodegradation in a controlled environment.   Nienazmi pointed out that although traditional plastics are about 10% cheaper than degradable plastics, their usage rate is increasing. He said that the Malaysian Industrial Standards and Research Institute (SIRIM) has also issued ecological labels to enable people to distinguish the authenticity of products on the market.   In addition, the government is also considering setting minimum standards for local councils in each state, allowing them to improve their environmental performance through competition with each other.   The Malaysian government will gradually implement the "no plastic bags" campaign starting from 2022, and plans to completely prohibit businesses from using plastic bags by 2025 at the latest.   With the development of biodegradable plastic, the raw material of this plastic may face to high cost, use a Gravimetric Batch Blender for saving raw material to reduce the cost is important for manufacturers.http://mao.ecer.com/test/gravimetricsystem.com/sale-41007802-mixing-granules-with-high-precision-gravimetric-system-four-types-raw-material.html   (The content and picture come from China-Plas Online Website)
